Overall, it's beautiful, and I'd rate it a "five," but taking into account the cost it's a "one." If you can afford to live there, it's wonderful. I had limited interactions, but the staff was wonderful.

It is more amazing than I can describe. A lot of their residents are very active. They have their own private golf course. Their apartments have bedrooms, kitchens and living rooms. Each one of them has a beautiful view.

Then there is a third level and it is for people that are mentally impaired. People who are fairly wealthy here want to go there. If you're very old and just wanted to retire and have people take care of you, I definitely recommend Azalea Trace if you could get in. Azalea Trace was a very nice facility, but I wasn't impressed with it. It just didn't seem bright and cheerful. I don't know if it was an older facility or not, but it was a progressive facility and this was one of the good things about it.

But there's so much going on at Belmont... We had some little problems at the very beginning but those were worked through. The rooms look a little dated and tired but they are remodeling which is an ongoing process and should be great.

Halfway Housing helps transition individuals and families from shelters or homelessness to permanent housing. Length of stay is usually anywhere from 6 months to 2 years. St. Luke’s Church in Jamestown was built in her memory and her portrait hangs in a room there. Her grandfather, James, was an ardent Episcopalian, but he also helped other churches. James built a log cabin in Jamestown in 1811, but it burned down in 1812. His mother, Mehitabel, died the same year, and is also buried at Stedman, along with some of the children.
